Had lunch after my morning lesson and went home without attending my afternoon lesson! It happened to be a very important lesson but I totally cannot make it already because I didn't manage to sleep on the previous night. =(
GUILTY and WORRIED+++
Dinner with Jerry "near old-MJR". Our initial plans was to have dimsum at Wan Dou Sek but it was closed for the day because they happen to be one of the places to be closed for the pre-CNY period.
End up, we had frog porridge and beef hor fun at Lorong 9. Wanted Tau Huey at Rocher but it was closed for CNY too! Tried Smelly Tofu instead and was rather disappointed. In fact, the only thing that was good that night was the frog porridge. The beef hor fun totally lost its standard already. The smelly tofu was nothing near the taste of those found in Taiwan or Hong Kong also, so yup.
We walked from freaking Lorong 9 all the way to Aljunied. Can you imagine how much stuff we saw along the way?! haha. Well anyway, I guess Jerry wouldn't be the "old-Jerry" back in sec. school if he had actually walked to school everyday last time. It was really quite a distance.
Anyway, thanks Jerry. =)
(Saturday) 24th Jan:
Timbre-ed with HT and ZX. Wasn't exactly into the Birthday mood because the-time-of-the-month just chose to come on that very night and it freaking hurts and I was feeling damn SIAN. The band was the Goodfellas and it was pretty alright, much better than the acoustic of course. Had an half-half pizza, chicken wings, half a dozen of shots, soft drinks and a jug of beer which only amounts up to a total bill of $55! Mainly because we had free shots from the boss and free pizza from the kitchen, thanks to HT the ex-timbre crew and her beau of course.
Received an sms from Mel after the clock struck 12. =( My tears seriously welled up like crazy and the live band and alcohol weren't helping. Thank goodness that place was dark, no one noticed and my 忍功一流. haha. But well, damn sad. I miss him badly...
(Sunday) 25th Jan; CNY eve:
Woke up with many well-wishes for my birthday and CNY, thank goodness I silent-ed my phone! But geez, I was pretty touched. Thanks people(although I don't think anyone is reading this because less than 10 people know the existance of this blog?).
Reunion dinner at grandparent's place. Quite boring I would say, there is just this serious lack of atmosphere this year, my cramps aren't exactly helping too. I can literally count the number of food I ate at the steamboat. I had like 3 fishballs and 1 slice of pork, a dozen of cockles, 1 scallop and 1 slice of fish. -_-"
See how bored I was? No atmosphere, no appetite.
But oh... my sweeet brother ordered a huge durian cake and planned to surprise me. But I just have the tendency to spoil surprises and plans because I "accidentally" opened up the freezer for absolutely no reason. -_-" Don't know what's wrong with me. I'm a jinx for surprises.
(Monday) 26th Jan; CNY Day 1:
Had a gathering at the function room at my place. The traditional Ang's lucky draw game reminds me of Mel. =( He missed it this year. I lost my luck too, only managed to get the SMALLEST ang pao of $4. I used to always get the middle-top few ang paos every previous years. Haha, oh well, whatever lah. My family won the 4th prize of $88. Not bad too. =P
Went to my aunt's place for ban luck after that with my cousins. I am not as WANG as last year already but still managed to Ban Luck a couple of times. Didn't exactly win much in the end though.
(Tuesday) 27th Jan; CNY Day 2:
Floated around at home. Feeling sick and fluffy. I only remember refilling my bottle of water non-stop for the whole day.
(Wednesday) 28th Jan; CNY Day 3:
Present hunting with Jerry. No luck because 2/3 of the shops in town are still closed for CNY! Bad day to shop I would say.
Visited grandad at TTSH after that.
I miss nursing somehow. =(
Here am I typing this boring entry away.
Shall end abruptly because I suddenly just lost that mood and Mel just messaged me on MSN. Thanks for reading till this point if you had. Bye and Happy CNY. Huat ah!
